In my grandma’s time,cheongsam was the necessity in ladie’s wardrobe,just like the white shirt in this day.She told me that she would customize one before the new year,like the other ladies around her.It is a kind of convention that people should wear a new thing to celebrate the new year,it means a new start,it is a bless.ladies born to beauty,and the clothing is a perfect embody,in China,people in her age would never refuse cheongsam.They love it.

Maybe my grandma’s reason is full of historic ,then what is foreigners’ reason ?

Nowadays more and more foreigner favored cheongsam.On the other hand,it can help people experience the Chinese clothing culture.As we all know,cheongsam is a treasure of the Chinese costumes.On the other hand,it can express their perfect body shape,for the cut of cheongsam is usually very close,it is gently sexy.And cheongsam is not very strict for your weight,the lady with 65KG can also wear cheongsam perfectly(and it is the savior for the lady with plump hip).I believe the second reason is more important.
